Follow the Gator Tracks to The Courtyards

Posted on 01. Jul, 2011 by in Gainesville

As promised earlier this month, we have made some changes to the branding of The Courtyards.

The owner of the site came up with a great idea to brand the property and pay homage to the Gator Nation and students that live with us.

Introducing Follow the Gator Tracks – a whimsical version of Orange and Blue that guides people straight to our office on SW 3rd Ave.

Love it? Hate it? Leave a comment below and see all the photos here.

These “tracks” run along SW 3rd Ave from 13th Street to our office at Unit 125

For anyone considering living at the courtyards, let me suggest that you strongly reconsider. During the last month of my stay (when the property was sold by trimark and bought by contemporary) I heard nothing but drilling, hammering, and yelling by the contractors from 7am until 5pm every Monday through Friday (including exam week). I was appalled by the lack of professionalism with handling service requests, since my earliest request was handled within a week of entering it. Upon moving out, my apartment looked moderately similar to how I moved in (aside from maybe $40 total in cleaning/touch up paint) and I (and my 3 roommates) were charged $325 each! I know there was no way we had caused $1300 in damages on top of the fee we had paid Trimark to touch up our apartment after we left.

Scotty, we’re sorry to learn you had such a bad exit from The Courtyards. The Courtyards was sold to a new owner and we were retained to manage the site. That said, it was in need of great repair and we wanted to get it ready ASAP for summer before the turn period of residents moving in and out. That noise was due to our replacing all the shingles on the building and much needed structural repair to the exteriors. Our team was spread a little thin and we apologize for not getting to your maintenance request sooner.
If you have disputes regarding your move-out settlement statement, we request that you put your comments in writing for us to review. We can review your file with you and provide you documentation for the charges you incurred when you move out of The Courtyards. We do our best to make the fairest assessments when processing our move- out statements. We apologize for any inconvenience we caused you over the summer during our renovations.

All I can say is I think The Courtyards is great, it may be a little old, but I think that’s the point of the renovations! Not trying to say everything is perfect, but location most definately couldn’t be ANY better and Contemperary has been most pleasant and professional in my interactions with them. I recommend it!

Nice job, CMC, I know that you’re much more likely to hear from someone with a gripe than someone who is satisfied, so I thought I’d try to let you know many people appreciate your staff!
