President Obama at your High School Commencement

Sounds unbelievable right? Wrong.

It could actually happen with a little help from one of my favorite recording artists John Legend.

No matter how you politically sway, wouldn’t it be interesting for The President to speak at a local High School Commencement ceremony? Students -YOU can make that happen.

Here’s how. According to The White House, the Commencement Challenge invites public high schools across the country to demonstrate how their school best prepares them for college and a career.

They’re encouraging students to enter the Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge.

Applications must be submitted by March 11th.

In the meantime, fresh off his The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House special on PBS (in honor of Black History Month) John Legend, a well known education advocate, has jumped on board to encourage participation.

See the video from John Legend here.

Who knows – maybe the winning school will be in North Central Florida.
