Let’s talk about the delicious things happening at Luca’s Pasta on University Avenue in Gainesville.
This place is great if you are a pasta lover! It’s always fresh, cooked to order and you can build your own bowl by combining their pasta types, sauces, meats, cheeses and veggies.
Owner, Cannelle Callard, was just named one of Gainesville’s Most Interesting People for 2011 by our pals at INsite Magazine and her creamy, ginger sauce is surely an indication of that honor.
Not in the mood for a pasta dish, they also offer paninis, small salads and sweet items in their deli case.
One of my faves, seen below, is my own creation of: fettucini with creamy, ginger sauce, with fresh mushrooms, baby spinach, shrimp and a healthy heap of parmesan cheese.
I would also go for the gnochhi in their fresh pesto OR whole wheat penne, spicy italian sausage and zuchinni in their olive oil and herb sauce and sprinkled feta cheese.
In fact, I haven’t had lunch yet today….
